Nutella Crumble Cake

Ingredients

  • 400 g all-purpose flour
  • 150 g granulated sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 150 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 450 g Nutella

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan or line with parchment paper.

2. Make the Batter

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

3. Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

4. Add the Nutella

Gently fold in the Nutella until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

5. Prepare the Crumble

Remove about ⅓ of the batter and crumble it into small pieces using your fingers. Set aside for the topping.

6. Assemble the Cake

Spread the remaining batter evenly into the prepared cake pan.

Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the top.

7. Bake

Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
