Cheesy Steak & Shrimp Skillet

Ingredients

For the Steak

  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

For the Shrimp

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt

For the Skillet

  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese

👩‍🍳 Instructions

Step 1: Season the Steak

Season steak pieces evenly with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

Step 2: Sear the Steak

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.

Add steak and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.

Remove from skillet and set aside.

Step 3: Cook the Shrimp

In the same skillet, add olive oil and shrimp.

Season with paprika and salt.

Sear for 2 minutes per side until just cooked.

Remove and set aside.

Step 4: Sauté the Vegetables

Reduce heat to medium.

Add butter, bell peppers, and onion.

Sauté until soft and lightly caramelized, about 5–7 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 5: Combine & Melt

Return steak and shrimp to the skillet and gently stir.

Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.

Cover and cook for 2–3 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
