Ingredients:
For the Salad:
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
4 cups chopped romaine or iceberg lettuce
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ small red onion, thinly sliced
1 cup diced pickles
1 avocado, sliced (optional)
For the Dressing (Burger Sauce):
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp pickle juice or finely diced pickles
½ tsp paprika
Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Cook the Beef:
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed and set aside to cool slightly.
Make the Dressing:
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, and paprika. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
Assemble the Salad:
In a large bowl or individual bowls, layer the lettuce, tomatoes, onion, pickles, cheese, and avocado.
Add the Beef:
Spoon the warm (not hot) beef on top of the salad.
Drizzle & Serve:
Finish with the burger-style dressing and enjoy immediately.
