Cheesy Beef & Creamy Potato Pie


Ingredients
Meat Layer
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp dried oregano
Creamy Layer
2 cups mashed potatoes (warm)
½ cup heavy cream or milk
2 tbsp butter
Cheesy Topping
1½ cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar (or a mix)
¼ cup grated Parmesan
Instructions
Cook the beef:
In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and ground beef, cooking until browned. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano. Drain excess fat.
Prepare the creamy layer:
Mix warm mashed potatoes with butter and cream until smooth and creamy.
Assemble the pie:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
Spoon the creamy mashed potatoes over the beef and smooth the top.
Add the cheese:
Sprinkle mozzarella/cheddar evenly on top, then finish with Parmesan.
Bake:
Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
Rest & serve:
Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy that cheesy, creamy comfort.
